Last Saturday we had our second beach wave workshop and it was sold out! Don’t worry, if you couldn’t make it we will be doing another one in spring!!
First off, thank you to everyone who came!! We hope that the workshop helped you feel confident in creating the look you want at home. We received one message this week showing us the look recreated and it looked AMAZING, way to go!!
One of our favorite things about what we do is that we are able to teach each one of our guests how to not only curl their hair, but what products to use to protect their hair, help them achieve the desired look and how to cut time when they are getting ready. I foresee a lot of “Pinterest” worthy hair styles around the area
We wanted to do a little recap about the event and highlight some tools that were used so if you are looking for that perfect beach wave at home, you can order these!
Tools Used To Create Beach Wave Look
One of the most popular ways to achieve a beach wave look is with a flat iron! I know, it sounds crazy, but these irons make an awesome lose, messy curl! It does take some getting used to, but once you figure it out you will love it. Using an iron is especially nice if you have shorter hair, because using a small curling iron will give you more of a ringlet look. One flat iron that we recommend is the BaBylissPRO Porcelain Ceramic Straightening Iron which you can purchase by clicking HERE.
If you have longer hair, we highly recommend using a 1 in curling iron. 1 in is the perfect size for this look because it allows you to wrap hair around the barrel securely, but not so many times that you’ll end up with tight curls. We teach a variety of techniques at our workshops and you can always ask your stylist to show you how to curl during your style! Here’s our favorite iron from hot tools and the one many of us use in the salon, check it out!
Another popular tool used to create the beach wave look is a curling wand. Now these can be tricky and you have to be careful not to burn your fingers! This tool truly does take some serious practicing. If you are a person who doesn’t like to take extra time, then stick to the curling iron because the clamp is your best friend! We love the wand though, because you can really get any style of curl that you want with just one tool! Check out this one!
All of the tools shared today are what you can use to create your favorite beach wave look at home! If you’re struggling to nail the curl and are curious when our next workshop is, check out our Facebook page!
